PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonaceous heat emitting body free of extra energy consumption, capable of enhancing the thermal efficiency, and eliminating an electromagnetic obstruction to any apparatus. SOLUTION: The carbonaceous heat emitting body 1 is composed of band-shaped or cord-shaped carbon fibers 2 formed by turning fibers of polyacryronitrile system subjected to a flame-resistant processing into carbonic substance and enlarging the value of electric resistance, a terminal part attached to the end part of the carbon fibers 2, and a quartz glass pipe 3 in which the carbon fibers 2 can be encapsulated in the longitudinal direction, whereby the quartz glass pipe 3 is put in hot pressure bond by the terminal part 4 and the carbon fibers 2 are encapsulated in the quartz glass pipe 3.
