PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an electrooptical apparatus in which handling is easy so as to improve productivity, cleaning operation of a panel is eliminated, thereby cost reduction can be attained by enhancement of yield and quality, drastic reduction of man-power and enhancement of productivity. SOLUTION: A plurality of driving substrates 2 are formed on a TFT base body 1, so that liquid crystal alignment layer formation and liquid crystal alignment treatment are performed, and a plurality of counter substrates 4 are formed on a counter base body 24, so that the liquid crystal alignment layer formation and liquid crystal alignment treatment are performed, and the counter base body is divided for every counter substrate to form the counter substrates in a single piece state. The counter substrates in a single piece state are superposed on the plurality of driving substrates formed on the TFT base body opposite to each other via a sealant and a common agent, the sealant and the common agent are cured to form a plurality of hollow cells. The gaps between the driving substrates and the counter substrates which constitute the hollow cells are subjected to liquid crystal injection and encapsulation and liquid crystal alignment heat treatment to form a plurality of LCD panels and then the TFT base body and the counter substrates are subjected to rear surface optical polishing.
