PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar system which does not fail in tracking a target object by heightening reliability in the estimation of the rate of change of distance to the target object. SOLUTION: The radar system emits pulse-like transmission waves to a target, analyzes reflected waves received from the target, computes both the distance to the target and the rate of change of distance to the target, and tracks the target on the basis of the computed distance and the rate of change of distance. The radar system is provided with a Doppler radar 10 for emitting two transmission waves modulated at different pulse intervals to the target and receiving reflected waves of each transmission waves from the target; a signal processing part 20 for analyzing received reflected waves and computing an observed Doppler frequency of each reflected wave; and a Doppler correlation part 30 for computing a distribution of the rate of change of distance to the target on the basis of each observed Doppler frequency computed at the signal processing part 20, acquiring the correlation between the two rates of change of distance, and estimating a plurality of candidate values of the rate of change of distance to the target on the basis of its results.
