PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation control device for a Stirling refrigerator, reducing power consumption while developing refrigerating performance as required. SOLUTION: The operation control device 30 for the Stirling refrigerator 10 controls the operation of the Stirling refrigerator 10. It comprises a cooling heat quantity calculating part 35 for calculating required cooling heat quantity from the operating condition of the Stirling refrigerator 10 at a point of determination, an operating condition deriving part 36 for deriving a plurality of operating conditions from corresponding cooling heat quantity calculated by the cooling heat quantity calculating part 35, and an operating condition detecting part 37 for detecting conditions out of the plurality of operating conditions derived by the operating condition deriving part 36 to minimize power consumption.
