PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave heating apparatus enabling the simultaneous use of the speed heating and steam heating of microwave heating by supplying water at a necessary timing and steaming it with a microwave and having excellent usability. SOLUTION: This microwave heating apparatus comprises a heating chamber 10, a magnetron 17 as a microwave generating means, an electric power supply port 19, a loading pan 20 on which a heated material is placed and having, at its peripheral edge part, a recessed part 23 for storing water, a drive motor 22 rotating the loading pan 20, a water storage tank 24 installed on the outside of the heating chamber 10, a water supply passage 25, a valve 26 for controlling water filling, and a control means 29, and supplies the water of necessary amount to the recessed part 23 in the loading pan 20 at the necessary timings, the recessed part 23 is rotatingly moved to near the electric power supply port 19, and the water is steamed by the micro wave. Thus, the speed heating of the microwave heating when water supply is absent can be assured since the water is supplied at the necessary timings, and the speed heating and the steaming heating can be used at the same time after the water is supplied.
