PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder, an image reader having this feeder and an image forming device capable of maintaining carrying performance over a long time by making damaging and abrading a surface of a carrier roller hard. SOLUTION: A document called in from a calling-in roller R1 is delivered one by one by a carrier roller R2 and a reverse rotation roller R2a. Paper dust, toner, ink and pencil powder sucked by the carrier roller R2 are sent to a cleaning member R2b rotating by abutting on the carrier roller R2, and a sticking object sucked by the cleaning member R2b is removed from a surface of the cleaning member R2b by a cleaning pad R2c. At this time, in the cleaning member R2b, its surface is formed of a substance subordinate in an electrification system to a substance for forming a surface of the carrier roller R2, and shaven powder from a sheet sticking to the carrier roller R2 can be stuck and recovered to the cleaning member R2b from the carrier roller R2 by electrostatic force.
