PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold the ion concentration by an efficient method for enhancing cleanliness in an elevator car. SOLUTION: An elevator has a ventilator for ventilating the inside of the elevator car, and is constituted so as to keep the ion concentration in the car in a predetermined value or more even if outside air flows in by door opening-closing by the ion curtain effect, by operating by interlocking the ventilator with an ion generating unit, by arranging the unit in the vicinity of the doorway of the elevator car.
