PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anticancer agent or an agent controlling metastasis of a cancer cell. SOLUTION: The medicinal composition contains a polypeptide containing at least the C-region of a galactosylceramide-expression factor-1 and not containing the Q-region thereof, or a polynucleotide encoding the polypeptide. In another aspect, the medicinal composition contains a material for inhibiting the expression of the galactosylceramide-expression factor-1.
