PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in which an optimum casting condition can be easily worked out always in casting simulation, by enhancing the accuracy of the casting simulation and predicting the occurrence of a void exactly. SOLUTION: A mold 5 and its cavity areas 6, 7 and 8 are divided into calculation elements comprising a plurality of minute cells positioned on the system of coordinates. Then the change of each calculation elements over time is calculated by inputting physical properties, initial conditions and boundary conditions regarding the mold, and gases flowing out from the cavity areas and molten metal flowing into the cavity areas at the time of casting, respectively.
