PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat height adjusting device of an exercise instrument, which can easily adjust a seat height by a lever within reach, can be easily applied to a case in which a space cannot be secured in the forward and backward portions of a seat post. SOLUTION: This seat height adjusting device of the exercise instrument is erected from a base frame 1 of the exercise instrument, an inner seat post 3, which keeps a top cap 7 to mount a seat 4 fastened to its top end portion, is vertically slidably inserted into an outer seat post 2 provided with a plurality of openings 2a arranged in a row in the height direction in a side wall portion, a rotary rod 20 to which a rotary plate 9 selectively engaged into the opening 2a of the outer seat post 2 is inserted onto the inner seat post 3, the rotary plate 9 is rotated through the rotary rod 20 by an operating lever 12 provided in the top cap 7, and the rotary plate 9 can be engaged into and disengaged from the opening 2a of the outer seat post 2.
