The invention concerns the field of hydrometallurgy, in particular the electrochemical reprocessing the ferromagnetic metals waste. A method for obtaining ferromagnetic metals hydroxides involves electromagnetic solution of lump metal waste in the solution of sodium chloride. The process is carried out under the action of magnetic field with induction of unit element of 0.04-0.50 T and reverse of electrical field feeding the electrolyzer with a period of 5-30 min. Use of the invention allows to accelerate the electrochemical process by 2 times, increase by 2-3 times the rate of filtration of ferromagnetic metals hydroxide residues.
