<p>A drug capable of treating mitochondrial disease, a disease causing various symptoms due to the dysfunction of mitochondria of the cells, which drug comprises L-arginine and, per part by weight of L-arginine, 0.2 to 20 parts by weight of L-ascorbic acid optionally together with at least one member selected from the group consisting of ribonucleic acids, ribonucleotides and ribonucleosides. The L-arginine contained in the drug for mitochondrial disease treatment increases the concentration of NO radicals to thereby enlarge the artery. The harsh taste and harsh feeling caused by the intake of L-arginine are relieved by the L-ascorbic acid. Further, any excess NO radicals are also deleted by the L-ascorbic acid.</p> |
