The invention relates to an awning that is mounted on a wall fixing such that it can turn. The rotation is firmed with a securing device in a seat that is formed by two adjacent toothings. The number of teeth in the two toothings is unequal. As a result accurate distribution of the rotation over very many small steps and very robust securing are obtained. Because the securing block has some play in the seat, virtually continuous adjustment is possible.
