<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test pattern which enables the ease identification of a poor place even in a print head with many nozzles arrayed in a highly dense state. <P>SOLUTION: This test pattern is composed of a test pattern area 10 with the following constitution, and a separation area 20. In the test pattern area 10, a plurality of unit test patterns 12, wherein ruled line patterns 14 corresponding to individual printing elements and having a fixed length in a relative moving direction are arrayed as parallel lines at different heights in the relative moving direction, are arrayed along the array direction of the printing elements. In the separation area 20, separation lines 22 for checking a position are repeatedly arranged at a ratio of one separation line to the plurality of printing elements along an outer edge, elongated in the array direction, of the test pattern area 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
