PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive transfer sheet for manufacture of a high density printed wiring board excellent in developability with an aqueous weak alkali solution and strippability in an aqueous strong alkali solution, capable of achieving higher resolution by thinning, and excellent in tent strength on a through-hole even in the case of a thin film. SOLUTION: The photosensitive transfer sheet has a photosensitive resin composition layer formed on a support, wherein the layer comprises: a copolymer including a repeating unit having a carboxyl group on a side chain and a repeating unit having on a side chain a group selected form the group consisting of a urethane group, urea group, sulfonamido group, phenolic hydroxyl group and imido group; a polymerizable compound having a group selected from the group consisting of a urethane group, urea group, sulfonamido group, phenolic hydroxyl group and imido group; and a photopolymerization initiator.
