PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic performance data editing device capable of determining reference beats used for an expressing process for automatic performance data by analyzing note events in automatic performance data. SOLUTION: The automatic performance data editing device has a readout means of reading out note events in the automatic performance data, a selecting means of selecting one note length out of a plurality of note lengths one after another, a decision means of deciding timing which is an integral multiple of a selected note length and whether a read note event is on time within a specified time before and after the timing, a count means of counting the number of note events while relating it to the selected note length when the decision means decides that the read note events are on time, and a determining means of comparing the number of note events counted by the count means by note lengths and determining the largest number of note lengths as reference beats.
