<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a method for regenerating drainage generated by washing, and the like, as washing water by improving the quality of the drainage by controlling the content of electrolytic ions contained in the drainage. <P>SOLUTION: According to this invention, soft water is generated by performing an ion exchange while the electric conductivity of the cleaned drainage obtained by subjecting the washing drainage to a cleaning treatment is ≤6,000 (μS/cm) and the regenerated washing water which can be reused as the washing water is obtained by subjecting the soft water to a tourmaline treatment. The cleaned drainage made into the soft water can increase the surface active effect of a detergent and therefore has high detergency, and if the cleaned drainage is subjected to the tourmaline treatment, additionally higher detergency can be imparted thereto. The water quality of the washing drainage discharged from a factory, or the like, can be improved and recycled as the washing water, and therefore, a water rate can be reduced and the amount of the detergent can be saved by about 50% than usual.
