<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle-mounted device used in an electronic toll collection system having a traffic control warning function that warns a driver about traffic control. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle-mounted device having a traffic control warning function comprises an antenna, a modem that modulates and demodulates information transmitted to/received from each roadside antenna, a card interface that reads ETC information, a control processor that controls the vehicle-mounted device, a traffic control warning part that determines a content of traffic control identification information, and an ETC processor that transmits the read ETC information to the modem. The modem consists of a means for performing modulation and demodulation by the ASK modulation/demodulation technique, and a means for performing modulation and demodulation by other modulation/demodulation techniques. The control processor transmits an instruction to perform modulation and demodulation of the read ETC information by the ASK modulation/demodulation technique to the modem, and an instruction to perform modulation and demodulation of the received traffic control identification information by modulation/demodulation techniques other than the ASK modulation/demodulation technique to the modem. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
