PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful portable digital camera allowed to be easily assembled. SOLUTION: A housing cover 4 of the digital camera 2 consists of a battery cover 4a, a front cover 4b and a rear cover 4c and a photographing lens 6 is held on a lens barrel 4d formed on the front cover 4b. A CCD image sensor 15, a circuit board 17, a button sheet 19, a liquid crystal panel 12, etc. are integrated in space surround by the battery cover 4a, the front cover 4b and the rear cover 4b. The CCD image sensor is arranged vertically to the optical axis of the photographing lens and mounted on the circuit board 17. The liquid crystal panel 12 is arranged in parallel with the circuit board 17 and connected to the circuit board 17 by a flexible circuit board.
