PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working table device of an observation elevator with which the working table does not obstruct the prospect when passengers in a car have prospect over the outside, capable of performing maintenance works etc. efficiently by using the working table effectively without requiring mounting and removal of the working table. SOLUTION: The observation elevator having the car 2 whose external walls at least including part of the ceiling are formed as a transparent part made of a transparent member 8, wherein the working table 40 capable of rising and falling is provided on the ceiling of the car 2 in such an arrangement as raised and separated from the transparent part when the elevator is in operation and put down at the time of maintenance etc. so as to cover the transparent part, and thereby the region on the ceiling where the operator(s) can move is widened by the working table 40.
