PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sun visor for an automobile having excellent sound absorption with an optimum configuration for providing the sound absorbing characteristic by enhancing the air permeability of the sun visor while maintaining the rigidity required for the sun visor, and improving the sound field environment of an occupant to the maximum extent possible. SOLUTION: The sun visor for the automobile comprises a core which forms a contour of the sun visor and has a space within a face, an elastic cushioning material with high air permeability to cover the outer side of the core, and a skin member of high permeability to cover the outer side of the elastic cushioning material.
