The bicycle (1) has one front wheel (2) and two rear wheels (3), whereby the rotational movement of a pedal crank (5) is transmitted to the rear wheel via a chain drive. The rear wheels are mounted connecting shaft-free, whereby the driven rear wheel is equipped with a rear wheel pinion which via a chain drive engages with an external pinion of a transmission shaft (7) extending parallel to the rotational axis of the rear wheels. The transmission shaft via an internal pinion engages by means of a chain drive with a pedal crank sprocket (6).
