<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical character recognition device by which character recognition and numbering print with high reliability in consideration of break of a business form are performed. <P>SOLUTION: A host device 20 executes character recognition processing by extracting characters one by one from a character description frame of a reading field of the business form to be read based on a business form image acquired by a scanner part 13 and reading position information defined in FC.
