<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ticket issuing printer having a low cost simple structure, wherein a print sheet does not enter a gap present in a transport path, or the sheet entering the gap can be removed simply even if it enters the gap. <P>SOLUTION: The ticket issuing printer comprises a main body; a print head attached to the main body for printing on the print sheet; a platen holding the print sheet between it and the print head for transporting the print sheet; a platen holder for rotatably hold the platen; and a sheet jamming detection means disposed on the platen holder so as to face the platen for detecting the print sheet which has get into the space between the platen holder and the platen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
