<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner supply device in which the rotation of a toner container can easily be controlled by a simple circuit construction and the toner container can correctly be stopped in the original position of the rotation. <P>SOLUTION: A DC motor for rotating the toner container is driven according to a pulse width modulation signal. When the toner container makes the N-th rotation, which is the final rotation, the first half (time T<SB>t</SB>(=T<SB>avg</SB>-α)) of the rotation is assigned to a constant rotation whereas the second half (time α) of the rotation is assigned to pulse width modulation drive. Before the stop of the toner container, the DC motor is driven modulating the pulse width. After the rotating speed is decreased, the toner container is stopped.
