<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately present an article of a subject store corresponding to a competitive article to a user. <P>SOLUTION: An article information output apparatus involves: extracting information on the component parts of the article of the subject store corresponding to the maker name and model of the competitive article inputted through a competitive article specifying picture by the user from a database (S100-S130); calculating a selling price for the article of the subject store and upgrading the article of the subject store within a budget amount range inputted through the competitive article specifying picture (S160, S170); registering the information on the database and transmitting the information as an article comparison result picture (S180, S190); when the information corresponding to the maker name and model of the competitive article is absent on the database, specifying the article of the subject store based on specifications of the competitive article inputted through a specification detail specifying picture and extracting information on the component parts (S140-S150).
