<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal catalyst carrier which is provided with a core 3 obtained by superimposing a metal-made offset corrugated plate 1 having a rectangular or trapezoidal corrugation on a flat plate 2 and winding the obtained superimposed material so that the top 5 and the bottom 6 of the offset corrugated plate 1 are abutted on the flat plate 2, by which the efficiency when exhaust gas is cleaned is improved and the time required until the metal catalyst carrier reaches the temperature at which a catalyst is activated is shortened and which can be manufactured efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: This metal catalyst carrier has an opening 7 at the abutted portion with the flat plate 2 in offset corrugated 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
