<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data processing device, capable of acquiring a high quality dynamic image close to an original signal in resolution transform processing at the time of decoding, when a compressed dynamic image is recompressed with the resolution reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A MPEG2Video streams inputted from an input unit 101 is recompressed by an increased compression rate at a recompression unit 102, using a parameter for estimating a low-frequency region and a high-frequency region of a DCT factor, and accumulated in an accumulator 113. Although a decoding unit 114 is basically a decoding unit for decoding a MPEG2 read from the accumulator 113, it recognizes a parameter indicative of a high-frequency region interpolation pattern added by the recompression unit 102, and generates the DCT factor by high-frequency region interpolation, and decodes the recompressed stream generated by the recompression unit 102. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
