摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low and highly reliable optical device. SOLUTION: The optical device is provided with a base 10, and an optical chip 15 and a translucent plate 16 which are attached to the base 10. A tapered recess 11b inclined downward to an opening 12 from a flat part 11a is formed on an upper face of the base 10. An adhesive layer 20 is formed in a gap between the tapered recess 11b and the translucent plate 16. Even if the size of the gap between the translucent plate 16 and the flat part 11a of the base 10 is narrowed, mechanical adhesion strength between the base 10 and the translucent plate 16 is highly maintained since the thick adhesive layer exists between the tapered recess 11b and a lower face of the translucent plate 16.
