PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an ultrathin glass cloth removing a binder in a short time without lowering tensile strength, fuzz grade and reliability of insulation. SOLUTION: An oxidizing substance having 200-500°C decomposition temperature is applied to a gray fabric of the glass cloth. Furthermore, the glass cloth is then heat-treated for 1-10 s while being continuously run so as to provide 350-580°C ultimate temperature of the surface of the glass cloth.
