PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus capable of preventing the execution of processing based on erroneous setting information in advance, when preregistered setting information is updated by pranks or operating errors. SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus can be connected, while being capable of communicating with external equipment, and has the function of preregistering prescribed setting information. The information processor comprises a storage means for storing a prescribed contact address, related to the setting information with the set registration, when the setting information is newly registered or is updated for registration; a determination means for determining whether the setting information is newly registered to the storage means or is updated for registration; and a notification means for notifying that the setting information has been updated to the contact address stored in the storage means prior to the update, when the determination means determines that the setting information has been updated for registration.
