PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a meandering preventing guide to minimum amount in order to realize a power saving and a resource saving at the time of manufacturing a fixing device, and to obtain a stable image over a long term without causing the meandering of a fixing belt and the deterioration of an image associated with the meandering of the belt. SOLUTION: The fixing device is installed in the image forming apparatus and fixes an unfixed image on recording material by heating and/or pressuring it by using the fixing belt 45 driven in the state where it is supported by a fixing roller and a heating roller 44. The fixing device is equipped with the meandering preventing guide 50 provided at one end side in a shaft direction on the inner periphery of the belt 45, and regulating members set on the roller 44 and having a belt shaft direction position regulating surface 51a opposed to the end face in the shaft direction of the guide 50 so as to regulate the shaft direction position of the belt 45 and a belt deformation regulating surface 52a opposed to the outer periphery part of the fixing belt corresponding to the position on the inner periphery of the belt where the guide 50 is provided.
