PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical vibration control device capable of obtaining more vibration-control effect by restricting deformation outside a surface or deformation of a shaft and reducing vibration due to weight of the vibration-control device, in regard to a vibration control device for absorbing vibration by amplifying displacement quantity of a structure. SOLUTION: A buffer part 13 to be extended/shrunken to absorb vibration is provided in parallel with a stretched member 11 between a structural surface of the structure W, in which vertical vibration is to be generated, or a support member W2 for supporting the structure W and a tip 12d of a second structural rod 122. Even if setting accuracy of the device is not enough, the buffer part 13 absorbs vibration to restrict the generation of out-of plane vibration, and even if the vertical vibration-control device is vibrated around weight thereof more than around weight of a floor slab W in response to a vibration generating frequency, the buffer part 13 efficiently absorbs the vibration.
