PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent skin state-improving agent and to provide a method for improving skin state by utilizing the agent. SOLUTION: An amino acid composition comprises a specific amino acid at a specific ratio. This oral amino acid composition for improving the skin state comprises five kinds of amino acids of L-arginine, L-glutamine, L-valine, L-isoleucine and L-leucine in amounts of 10-40 pts. wt., 10-40 pts. wt., 5-20 pts. wt., 8-30 pts. wt. and 10-35 pts. wt., respectively.
