PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gathering machine provided with a guide in which arrangement of the guide on respective paper feed shelves is simple and erroneous paper feeding hardly occurs regardless of thickness of paper bundle stacked on the paper feed shelf in the gathering machine having the multi-stage paper feed shelf. SOLUTION: The gathering machine is constituted such that the multi-stage paper feed shelf 11 is divided to a plurality of stages, a turnable guide shaft 16 laid on the divided plurality of stages paper feed shelf 11 and abutting on end edges of the papers P compiled on the respective paper feed shelves 11 is installed on the plurality every divided stages and a turning up prevention ring 18 is fixed to a position corresponding to a paper feed position of the guide shaft 16.
