PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a doctor blade which has a good adhesiveness between a plate cylinder and a blade edge, has little abrasion of the blade edge, does not abrade the surface of a printing plate, can decrease the number of polishing and interchanging, and can be manufactured at a low cost. SOLUTION: The doctor blade is applied to a plate cylinder with a chrome-plated surface. At least a tip part of a strip of matrix sheet comprising a steel sheet, a resin, a ceramic, other arbitrary materials and a composite material is coated with a copper material layer, and the coated tip is made to be the doctor blade edge. The thickness of the copper material layer is 50-150μm, and it is preferable that the copper material layer is formed by a copper pyrophosphorate plating. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
