PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a squeezing dehydrator using a general-purpose induction motor for AC commercial power supply of low manufacturing and running costs. SOLUTION: This dehydrator is provided with a pressurizing body 19 whose lower surface is formed of an elastic body, a hydraulic cylinder 13 raising/lowering the pressurizing body 19, a fixed displacement hydraulic pump 21, the induction motor 22 driving the fixed displacement hydraulic pump 21, a relief valve 29 provided in an outlet side of the fixed displacement hydraulic pump 21, and a controller 30; lowers the pressurizing body 19 to squeeze and dehydrate the watery laundry. The inverter 40 is mounted to a power supply circuit of the induction motor 22 and the control device 30 controls the set pressure of the relief valve 29 and the number of cycles of a driving power supply of the induction motor 22.
