PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an endoscope to be inserted smoothly, without nauseating a subject, by restricting the movement of his tongue comfortably when an insertion part of the endoscope is inserted through the oral cavity. SOLUTION: By forming a partition plate 4 in about a vertically middle section of a roughly cylindrical mouthpiece body 3, an upper first passage section 5 through which an insertion part 1 of the endoscope is inserted and a lower second passage section 6 into which the tongue is inserted are separately formed.
