The compression compound consists of a metal part upon which is fitted a plastic part by a press fit, especially in a fuel injection valve. Encompassing ribs (34-36) are formed one behind the other in the axial direction on the outer wall of the metal part. Each rib has a back (37) rising outwards from the outer wall in the push-on direction (33) of the plastic part, and a flank (38) inclining steeply downwards from the end of the back towards the outer wall. An annular slot (39) precedes each rib when viewed in the push-on direction of the plastic part and is formed directly in the outer wall in the root of the back. An independent claim is included for a fuel valve, especially a fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, with a fuel filter retained by a press fit.
