<p>The holes comprise slits (3.2) with essentially smooth edges and ends. The slits are arranged in a pattern and are more numerous than the raised protrusions. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) Method for producing the sound insulation device by embossing a pattern of slits (3.1) in the insulation material, preferably a roll of film, and then subjecting the material to a three-dimensional forming step in order to form the protrusions and so that slits are formed in the embossed regions; and (B) Process apparatus for producing the sound insulation device, comprising a means for supplying films or sheets, a press, roll or spindle device for embossing a pattern of slits, a press, roll or spindle device for embossing the protrusions and a means for transporting the material for further processing.</p> |
