<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clock with solar cell making dark purple of solar cell disappear and exciting function of power generation to the solar cell, giving metallic appearance to a cover ring. <P>SOLUTION: In a clock with solar cell which is equipped with a cover ring 32, located on the periphery of dial 25 between a windshield glass 21 and the dials 25 and a solar cell 31 placed on the periphery of cover cell 32 concerned, the cover ring 32 is formed from a translucent material and a metal thin layer 34 is formed with a thickness of 150 to 500 Å on a lighting face by dry plating processing. Thereby, incident light, required for power generation of the solar cell, is acquired via the cover ring 32, in addition to preventing of visual recognition from the outside of solar cell 31 via the cover ring 32. Moreover, a minute unevenness pattern is put design on the lighting faces 33a and 33b and/or coloring agent, as needed, fluorescence material and light diffusion agent and others are blended in molding resin of the cover ring 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
