<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing xylan hydrolyzate and provide the materials to be used therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The polynucleotide comprises, from the 5'-terminus side in order, the secretion signal sequence working in yeast, the sequence encoding the polypeptide showing the arabinofuranosidase activity, a sequence encoding a part of the protein locating on cell cortex and GPI (glycosylphosphatidylinositol) anchor adhering signal sequence. The method for producing xylan hydrolyzate comprises the step where xylan is hydrolyzed in the presence of the yeast holding this polynucleotide, xylosidase or further xylanase and the step where the xylan hydrolyzate is collected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
