<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing plate precursor excellent in printing durability, suitable for scanning exposure with laser light, capable of achieving high-speed writing, and having high productivity, and to provide a polymerizable composition suitable for a photosensitive layer of the precursor. <P>SOLUTION: The polymerizable composition comprises a polyurethane resin synthesized using a compound represented by formula (I) as one of starting materials, a photopolymerization or thermal polymerization initiator, and a compound having an addition polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated bond. The lithographic printing plate precursor has a photosensitive layer comprising the composition. In the formula (I), X represents an atom whose valence is ≥3; R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>each independently represents a single bond or an alkylene group which may have a substituent with the proviso that both of R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are not single bonds; A represents a linear linking group; and n represents an integer of 1-5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
