<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerant having a compatibility with a refrigerant and a refrigerator oil and to which an odorant not causing reaction with the material of a refrigerating circuit and the refrigerator oil is added and a refrigerator having the refrigerant circulating in the refrigerating circuit. <P>SOLUTION: This refrigerant is formed mainly of inflammable fluorine hydrocarbon in which a hydrocarbon with a carbon atom number of 1 to 4 or a part of the hydrogen atoms of the hydrocarbon is replaced with fluorine atoms, and contains tetrahydrothiophene as the odorant.
