<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating activated sludge by membrane separation, which does not require the former-step screen of an aeration vessel, thereby facilitating maintenance, and which can take out a treated liquid from a bio-treating vessel such as the aeration vessel while preventing a membrane module from clogging. <P>SOLUTION: Such a membrane module 12 provided with many communicating holes 14 as a monolith-type ceramic membrane module or a tubular-type membrane module is installed at the outside of the bio-treating vessel such as the aeration vessel 10 performing activated sludge treatment. A liquid in the bio-treating vessel such as the aeration vessel 10 is sucked by a pump 25 so as to be filtered by this membrane module 12 in a cross flow manner and a filtrate is discharged as treated water. During this time, the inlet-side pressure of the membrane module 12 is always monitored, and when the inlet-side pressure exceeds a predetermined level by the enter of a sediment, reversal-washing or blow of the membrane module 12 is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
