PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electric machine equipped with a stator core which has a reference for top and bottom discrimination in production and assembling, and also has a reference for a mounting angle on mounting to a base, and to provide an assembling jig corresponding to the references. SOLUTION: The stator core 33 is constituted of a plurality of yoke members 3, and is arranged with notched recesses 9, 11. When the line D, which connects the center B between the notched recesses 9 and 11 to the center C of the stator core 33, is used to be a reference line, the notched recesses 9, 11 are arranged at a laterally asymmetrical position.
