PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily acquire past image data used for temporal subtraction processing in a temporal subtraction processing method and apparatus. SOLUTION: Basic image data and additional information of said basic image data are acquired by a basic image acquisition means 11, past image data corresponding to the basic image data are automatically searched and acquired by a search and acquisition means 21 from an image recording means 72 wherein image data and additional information of said image data are linked and recorded, based on the additional information of the basic image data, and temporal subtraction processing is performed between the basic image data and the past image data in temporal subtraction processing 31.
