PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle friendly to the environment as it is equipped with an energy regeneration device designed to be able, through one touch manipulation, to store energy discharged wastefully during the deceleration or stoppage of the traveling bicycle, as flexible energy, and to utilize the energy for acceleration. SOLUTION: In Fig., a hub 9 and an inner gear 10 are integrated when an operation pin is pressed, and the revolution of the wheel is conveyed from the hub 9 to the inner gear 10, and this process winds a spiral-wound spring 5, incorporated into the inner gear (for energy recovery). When the operation pin 1 is loosened, the integration of the hub 9 and the inner gear 10 is dissolved, and based on the restoration torque of the spiral-wound spring 5, the inner gear 10 rotates in the reverse direction. This reverse rotation is conveyed through a planetary gear 14, a sun gear 17, and a ratchet 15 to the hub 9, so that the speed of the bicycle is accelerated in its traveling direction (for energy reutilization).
