PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user interface allowing efficient input of a desired numerical value without using a keyboard and just by using only a pointing device such as a mouse. SOLUTION: The numeric input device is provided with a key input area 1 for inputting the numerical value by the keyboard, a mouse input area 5 associated with the key input area 1 and displayed with coordinate axes showing an input range of the key input area 1, and a function of inputting coordinate values of a specified point into the key input area 1 when a point on the coordinate axes of the mouse input area 5 is specified by the pointing device such as the mouse.
