TURBO COMPRESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce number of parts, save installation space and improve efficiency by commonizing casings of a three stage compression turbo compressor and a four stage compression turbo compressor. SOLUTION: The casing 2 includes an axle box part 5. A first compressor 31 and a third compressor 33 are provided on one side surface of the axle box part. A second compressor 32 is provided on another side surface of the axle box. The first compressor and the second compressor are arranged on a same center line and are driven by a first rotary shaft 16. The third compressor is driven by a second rotary shaft 36 provided in parallel with the first rotary shaft. The first rotary shaft and the second rotary shaft are rotated by a drive shaft 22. A blank space is formed in a part adjoining the second compressor. A fourth compressor 43 driven by the second rotary shaft can be installed in the blank space. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
